I now have the time to work on publishing some books I have had written for a while.  The first, The 12 Chakras Energy System, was published last week and you can purchase it on Amazon.  The second book, The Flow of Love, will be published in January.

Extract from The 12 Chakras Energy System

This book is for those who feel called to deepen their relationship with energy, embodiment and the subtle architecture of the self. Whether you are already familiar with chakra work or newly curious, this material invites you into a rich exploration of the twelve chakra energy system – a map that honours both the traditional foundations and the emerging realities of our evolving consciousness.

Chakras are energy centres within the human energy field. They are not physical organs yet they influence every layer of our experience – body, mind, emotion and spirit. The chakras shape how we perceive, feel, act and relate to the world around us. When they are integrated and flowing, we experience greater clarity, vitality and presence. When they are blocked, overloaded or underdeveloped, we may feel disoriented, stuck or disconnected from ourselves and life.

The seven chakra system has its roots in ancient Indian traditions, particularly within the yogic and tantric lineages. It is a powerful and enduring framework, outlining seven primary energy centres that run from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. Each of these centres corresponds to key aspects of human experience – from survival and sexuality to intuition and spiritual connection. This system has been widely adopted and integrated into modern energy healing, meditation, yoga and spiritual development.

However, as human awareness expands, many have come to experience and understand a more nuanced energy body – one that includes chakras beyond the original seven. These additional centres have emerged through direct experience, intuitive insight and collective energetic shifts. The twelve chakra system includes five further chakras: Upper Heart, Causal, Soul Star, Stellar Gateway and Earth Star. These support deeper grounding, expanded spiritual awareness, soul-level integration and connection to the wider field of consciousness.

This twelve chakra map does not replace the traditional model – it builds upon it. The original seven chakras remain foundational. The additional five offer access to transpersonal wisdom, ancestral memory, karmic resolution and more refined expressions of intuition, embodiment and service. As more people awaken to subtle perception and move beyond survival-based identity, the twelve chakra system meets this readiness with a structure that can hold and integrate higher frequencies.

The twelve chakras explored here are best understood in two broad groups: personal and transpersonal.

The Personal Chakras: Root to Crown
The first seven chakrasRoot, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Third Eye and Crown – make up your personal energy system. They sit within and around the physical body and govern your core experiences as a human being. These centres shape how you relate to survival, desire, identity, emotion, truth, intuition and connection to Source.

They are directly influenced by your life story – including childhood experiences, relationships, cultural conditioning and the emotional patterns you have developed along the way. In this book, we begin with the personal chakras, as they form the energetic foundation. Grounding, clearing and strengthening these centres helps stabilise your system and prepares it to hold the subtler frequencies accessed in the transpersonal field.

The Transpersonal Chakras: Beyond the Self
The remaining five chakrasUpper Heart, Causal, Soul Star, Stellar Gateway and Earth Star – are considered transpersonal. They extend beyond individual identity and connect you to the broader dimensions of soul, lineage and divine intelligence. The Upper Heart refines human compassion into spiritual presence. The Causal Chakra holds past-life memory and soul contracts. The Soul Star carries your soul’s blueprint and evolutionary direction. The Stellar Gateway opens the field of pure Source light and infinite awareness. The Earth Star links you to ancestral roots and the deep intelligence of the Earth.

These centres help you release outdated roles, access guidance from your higher self and integrate wisdom that transcends personal story. Their activation often arises in response to spiritual awakening, deep healing or an inner call to step into greater alignment with your purpose.

Chakra Order and How They are Presented
You may notice that a certain chakra appears out of what seems like linear order – specifically the Earth Star Chakra, which is often presented at the end, even though it sits below the body. Similarly, the Upper Heart is introduced between the Heart and Throat. These placements reflect the energetic function and interrelationship of these chakras within a multidimensional system.

  • The Earth Star Chakra – Last in Sequence, First in Anchoring: Whilst physically below the Root, the Earth Star is a transpersonal chakra. It is not just a grounding point – it is your anchor into incarnation itself. It holds ancestral memory, karmic roots and your soul’s agreement to come to Earth. It connects you to Gaia’s crystalline core – the intelligent and evolving consciousness of the planet. Although located beneath the body, it is placed at the end of the book because it acts as an energetic seal – completing the circuit after the higher chakras have opened. It stabilises the expanded field and brings all higher experience back into embodied awareness. This order supports integration and coherence, rather than dissociation or overload.
  • The Upper Heart Chakra – A Bridge of Compassion and Clarity: The Upper Heart, physically located between the Heart and Throat, is placed in the same position energetically because that is its function – to bridge human love and divine compassion. It filters the emotional depth of the Heart so that what moves through the Throat is not only true, but wise, clear and aligned with spiritual service. This chakra supports empathic maturity, helping you hold space without losing yourself. Its placement in the sequence reflects how energy evolves from feeling (Heart), through discernment (Upper Heart) into expression (Throat).

Working with the Chakras in Practice
Throughout this book, you will learn to work with each of the twelve chakras – understanding their function, signs of imbalance, healing pathways and signs of awakening. You are encouraged to approach them with curiosity as each chakra carries its own intelligence. When met with presence, they will show you what you are ready to understand and integrate.

Importantly, when we speak of chakra ‘activation’, we do not imply the chakra is dormant until awakened. As spiritual beings in embodied form, the chakras are already functioning. Activation here means conscious integration – bringing flow, balance and coherence to the centre so it can express its full potential. Much like the breath: your lungs are already working, but breath can be shallow or deep, strained or free. Chakra work brings depth and presence to the breath of your energy field.

This journey may support you in many ways: stabilising your energy, finding language for your inner experiences, releasing inherited or karmic patterns and strengthening your intuitive connection to self and Source.

And though we are focusing here on the twelve chakra system, remember that no map is the final word. Consciousness continues to evolve and so do we.

Finally, in the Dowsing sections for each chakra you will see there are 20 questions and 20 statements. The actual tables I produced extend to 40 questions and 40 statements but I felt they were too long for the book so I have made them available as a free download together with supportive dowsing charts. You will find a link for them in the Dowsing chapter and it is not necessary for you to sign up to anything to download them.
